Leading up to worlds and partially thanks to the nerfs to the top three junglers, both Rengar and Nocturne have started to gain a niche popularity within the competitive meta. Rengar is for the moment a very weird pick as it seems that only Korean junglers (and more notably Dandy from Samsung White) have been able to use him effectively. Nocturne on the other hand has seen a rise in popularity as of late in most regions (Europe is the only major one where Nocturne has not been played recently) with generally good results. In this article, I will be comparing these two junglers, with an emphasis on numerical analysis.
In part 1 of this series, I discussed the sudden rise in popularity of Kha'Zix in the competitive scene and the first evolution path used by some European junglers. Here I will discuss two other junglers that have been using Kha'Zix to great effect, but choosing to evolve E first, and why the other evolution paths have not seen any play.
In my two previous articles I discussed Gambit Gaming's new teamcomp in the last week of EU LCS regular season and highlighting Diamond's Kha'Zix. I promised a part three where I would further analyze this unusual split in the summer split. However the popularity of our favorite bug has exploded in the past week in the competitive scene, seeing both play in the EU playoffs, but also in the OGN Summer final and with different ways to play him to boot. So instead of analyzing Diamond's Kha'Zix, I have decided to instead concentrate on the very recent appearances of the void reaver.

Pre Patch 4.9, Kha'Zix was considered as the best jungler in the game thanks to his damage, high mobility and his natural tankiness with his evolved ultimate. However patch 4.9 changed this with the nerfs to his Q damage and the removal of the damage reduction on his ult. Despite this, Gambit Gaming's Diamonprox has played him six times over the course of the split, notably twice in the last superweek of the LCS and in their tie breaker versus the Copenhagen Wolves to great effect (they won each of those matches). Over the course of a several part series, I will analyse this teamcomp and the current role of Kha'Zix within the jungle and other ways of playing him.
